Roy Davis holds an MA in English and creative writing from Miami University, where he acted as editor for the university’s fiction magazine, Oxmag. In 2009 he will receive an MA in creative writing for children from Bath Spa University. He has been teaching for over ten years, everything from elementary school science to college composition and creative writing. Before teaching, he worked as an animal behaviorist, living in the mountains and counting lizards doing pushups.
Each fall, Roy dons a monster costume and terrifies patrons at Knott’s Scary Farm amusement park in California. In the spring he can be found playing the part of a villainous Puritan for the Southern California Renaissance Faire.
